Docklands Neighbourhood Portal

The Hub is a community facility for residents, workers and visitors in Docklands and offers a range of services including:

  • Information on Docklands and City of Melbourne services;
  • A range of maps, brochures and information about upcoming events in Docklands;
  • Hire of venue and/or meeting spaces available for use by community groups, residents and organisations;
  • Playgroups;
  • Story time sessions for children aged from two to five;
  • Library services, including pick-up and drop off of books from Melbourne Library Service;
  • Sport and recreational equipment;
  • Lunchtime activities including: table tennis, mind games, walking, craft sessions and language conversations;
  • Free wireless internet; and

The Hub also lets space to a range of community and commercial groups.

The District Docklands offers a lounge for tourists – a place to relax and unwind while visiting Docklands. Located on the ground level of The District, the centre offers:

By Tram

Catch the free No. 35 City Circle Tram and City Circle Tourist Tram to Docklands from Flinders, Spring, Victoria, Nicholson or LaTrobe streets. Other services also run through Docklands: No.11, No. 30, No. 48, No. 70, No. 75, No.86

By Bus

Transdev operates bus services to Docklands: No. 220, No. 232, No. 235, and No. 237. For more information on the timetables, call Public Transport Victoria on 1800 800 007 or visit www.ptv.vic.gov.au

By Train

At Southern Cross Station, exit at the northern (Etihad Stadium) end to walk over the Bourke Street Pedestrian Bridge to Harbour Esplanade. Alternatively, exit on the corner of Spencer and Collins streets, and walk over the Collins Street Bridge to Docklands Park, Victoria Harbour.

By Car

Docklands can be accessed by Wurundjeri Way and Spencer St to the South; Flinders St, Collins St, La Trobe St and Dudley St to the East; and Footscray Rd to the North. We provide 5000+ parking spaces distributed around the area.

By Bike/Scooter

We have about 15km of on-road, off-road and shared paths for riders. The Yarra Trail, Bayside Ride, Capital City Trail and Maribyrnong Trail all run into Docklands. Docklands provides bicycle hoops throughout the precinct.

By Water

You can also take the ferry, yacht or kayak to get to Docklands. Port Phillip Ferries run two services to Docklands from Geelong and Port Arlington respectively. For more information: portphillipferries.com.au
